Rahul Gandhi

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Monday responded to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s criticism of his use of the word ‘Shakti’ – a reference to feminine divine energy – while describing the opposition’s bid to defeat the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party.

The Prime Minister and the BJP had accused Mr Gandhi and the opposition, including the Congress-led India alliance, of wanting to destroy ‘Shakti’, and extended the remarks to “…denying the existence of Lord Ram”. “I accept their challenge. I will sacrifice my life,” the Prime Minister said in Jagtial, Telangana.

Mr Gandhi then responded to Prime Minister Modi, accusing him of “always trying to change the meaning of my words by twisting them in some way or the other” and saying that he had talked about a “power (or ‘shakti’)”. which has taken over the institutions including media, industry and the entire constitutional structure of India”.

Rahul Gandhi said “…he (PM Modi) knows that I have spoken a deep truth. The power that I mentioned, the power that we are fighting… Modiji is the mask of that power. It is a power that has destroyed institutions. Have captured.” ..The Central Bureau of Investigation, Enforcement Directorate, Income Tax Department, Election Commission, media and the entire constitutional structure of India,” they are misusing.

He said “I recognize that power… Modiji also recognizes that power. This is not a religious power. This is the power of corruption and lies. And that is why, whenever I raise my voice against him, Modiji gets upset and Get angry,” Rahul Gandhi was addressing the concluding public meeting of Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Mumbai.

Mr Gandhi was seen referring to opposition claims that the BJP uses central agencies like the CBI, ED and the Income Tax Department to target and intimidate rivals, especially ahead of elections.

In Mumbai, Gandhi also talked about a “senior (Maharashtra political) leader” leaving the Congress. Rahul Gandhi said, “Crying… he told my mother (Congress chief Sonia Gandhi), ‘Sonia ji, I am ashamed to say this, I do not have the strength to fight these people, this force. I do not want to go to jail. Wanted.’ ,

Many saw this senior leader of Rahul Gandhi as former Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan, who switched Congress to BJP last month and got Rajya Sabha nomination within 48 hours. However, this morning Mr Chavan issued a statement denying that Mr Gandhi was referring to him. Let us tell you that three cases are pending against Chavan; The two are linked to the 2010 Adarsh Cooperative Housing Society scam, which led to his resignation as Chief Minister.

In a reaction on The Congress leader also referred to earlier “crony capitalism” attacks on the Prime Minister and the BJP, and claimed that Mr Modi “auctioned off the country’s wealth to increase that power” while poor Indians live in poverty and in perpetual poverty. Suffer from cost.
